How to keep FreeOffice up-to-date
We are continuously improving FreeOffice 2024, the best free alternative to Microsoft Office, with bug fixes and new features. Please read the following instructions to ensure that your installation is always up-to-date.
FreeOffice 2024 for Windows
By default, FreeOffice for Windows keeps itself up-to-date by automatically downloading service packs from our servers.
If you have not installed the automatic update tool or simply want to know if your version of FreeOffice is up-to-date, you can also check for updates manually.
Start one of the FreeOffice applications, click on the "?" icon in the ribbon and choose the command Check for updates.
2024-07-12: revision 1216
- Mac: The installation package now not only contains a version for Intel CPUs, but also for Apple Silicon CPUs, thus fully utilizing the speed of modern Apple CPUs.
- Windows: The error message during uninstallation that the program syspin64.exe was not found no longer appears. However, the message could also be ignored without any problems.
- In certain situations, a title screen that should not have been shown appeared when the program was started.
